What are the key elements of Sodexo's Human Resources policy?

Sodexo's growth has been made possible by the talent and competencies of the men and women who make up the Group. Human Resources has always been a core concern for our Executive team. Our policy is based on two major objectives: internal promotion and integrating diversity.

Internal Promotion

Sodexo has always clearly expressed its determination to ensure its high-performing employees progress and has always made substantial investments in developing and training them through qualifications training and sponsoring further studies. Our many in-house training schools prepare employees for management positions, while the Sodexo Management Insitute is the company's university for executives.

Integrating Diversity

Sodexo is committed to respecting and promoting minority groups via a wide range of initiatives in the field, for example, the creation of Diversity Committees in several countries and the implementation of dash boards. In the United States, Rohini Anand has been appointed Chief Diversity Officer and is a member of the Sodexo USA Executive Committee. In France, Sodexo is a promoter of the Diversity Charter.

What does Sodexo expect from its employees?

Beyond knowledge and experience, we look for people who share our values and prove it in their behavior. Service Spirit, Progress and Team Spirit are the foundation stones that bind our Group together. These three values are a reality of daily life for our employees. Sodexo is first and foremost the sum of the different teams who, every day, work on their clients' site, dedicated to meeting, and even going beyond, their expectations.

We look for employees who care both about developing the company and opening up personal development opportunities for themselves. This attitude is a condition both for success and personal progress.

How does Sodexo do its part to attract and retain the best talents?

As an international Group, Sodexo puts Human Resources at the heart of its strategy, by accelerating professional development for its employees, united around strong, shared values. All unit managers are in direct contact with their clients and manage their teams and their suppliers. They are autonomous and have the opportunity to take initiatives in order to go ever further in meeting their clients' and their customers' expectations.

The many different business activities and the size of our Group also offer each employee a wide range of career opportunities. They also allow them to experience, grow and learn from contact with different cultures by participating in international meetings or working groups.

Sodexo also offers those who feel strongly about social responsibility and living strong moral values the chance to be part of a company which takes to heart its citizenship mission of “improving the quality of daily life”. For example, Sodexo has launched a global program to fight malnutrition, STOP Hunger . This initiative is just one of many other similar examples.
